Homeland

Homeland is a drama, thriller series developed for American television by Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa and based on the Israeli series Hatufim created by Gideon Raff. It premiered on October 2, 2011. The series is broadcast in the United States on the cable channel Showtime, and is produced by Fox 21.


The story presents Carrie Anderson (Claire Danes), a CIA agent who is convinced that the officer Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis), recently rescued in Afghanistan, is connected to a plan for a new terrorist attack on the U.S., ten years after September 11. 


This is due to that on a mission in Iraq, Carrie discovers that an American prisoner of war has been converted, and who is now working with Al Qaeda to plan a terrorist attack on the United States. After eight years, the sergeant is found alive and taken to the United States as a national hero who survived the physical and emotional abuse of terrorism. With the information on hand, Carrie connects the dots and concludes that Brody is such the converted prisoner. 


While Brody tries to reintegrate into his old life, Carrie race against the clock to prove that he is a terrorist - however, her attempts are thwarted and who supported it begins to seriously doubt her emotional stability. The CIA however, is on the back foot in relation to the deductions agent due to her last mission in the Middle East have failed.


The cast counts also with Morena Baccarin, David Harewood, Diego Klattenhoff, Jackson Pace, Morgan Saylor, Mandy Patinkin.
